Flipkart:

Flipkart is encountering obstacles in the competitive environment which are fierce with the presence of Amazon and newbies, high operational cost is another concern and the last but not least is the compliance with regulatory hurdles and customer service problems. Frequency of the price wars and the changing regulations demand the continuity of the adjustments (Nandi, 2024b).

Global supply chains rely on the smooth flow of products and information between various stakeholders, including manufacturers, suppliers, shippers, and retailers. A disruption to this flow can lead to inefficiencies, delays, and a host of other issues that can affect the success of a global supply chain. High logistic costs and complaints from customers can sometimes affect gross profit adversely and the image of this business in the market, too (Admin, 2023).

Amazon is up against a lot of obstacles as well as many of chances to keep and grow its market leadership. The sustainability of the environment, labour practices, and fierce market competitiveness are major obstacles. At the same time, opportunities come from leading sustainability programmes, expanding services, and improving technology.

Difficulties:

 1. Environmental Impact: A large portion of Amazon's carbon footprint comes from its operations, especially from packaging and logistics. For sustainable growth to occur, this environmental impact must be managed.

2. Labour Practices: There has been criticism of the company's labour practices, particularly those in the warehouses. Both public opinion and employee well-being depend on better working conditions.

3. Market Competition: As Walmart and other competitors pose a persistent threat to Amazon's hegemony, the company must constantly innovate to stay ahead of the curve.

Opportunities:

1. Technological Innovation: AI and machine learning can improve operational effectiveness and customer experiences.

2. Service Expansion: AWS, media streaming, cloud computing, and smart home gadgets are just a few of the sectors where Amazon may diversify even further.

3. Leadership for Sustainability: Amazon can attract environmentally conscious consumers and set industry norms by using sustainable practices and green technologies.

4. How can we make AWS services more widely available to better serve small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs)?

5. How can we incorporate renewable energy sources into every aspect of our business operations?
