 EZZALDEEN ALI ABDO SAEED AL-SARMAH TP076013 **Problem Identification and Research Besides, it is increasingly becoming clear that we suffer from a problem of  homelessness  in our neighborhood evident by increasing numbers of people without permanent dwellings. Some of the causes of homelessness include poverty, lack of affordable housing, unemployment, and mental illness (National Alliance to End Homelessness 2022). Inadequate shelters and supportive services in our community only make matters worse. The research by Homelessness Task Force (2021) shows that if nothing is done about homelessness, it can lead to severe health consequences, increased crime rates, and reduced community welfare. A survey conducted in our area indicated that slightly above 30% of the respondents think that homelessness is very important indicating need for action now (Community Survey 2023). The main problems are the fact that affordable housing is not available, commuting takes a lot of time, infrastructure is not enough, and the negative effects of noise, pollution, and lack of green spaces on the life quality are very strong (Behnisch. 2022).
